We dreamed of a place with fertile soil, water and wild woods for our children to run in. We found this dream and forever home nestled in the beautiful mountains, just outside Asheville, North Carolina. When we saw the pristine hay fields flanking the creek on the property, our hearts raced and our imagination ignited. When the opportunity to grow hemp in North Carolina opened up, we dug right in and put our hearts and souls into growing the most beautiful hemp garden we could have imagined.

Our work on Otherside Farm is to explore the many aspects of our relationship to the earth and her systems that sustain us. We are passionate about endeavors that bring people and plants together. We believe that this relationship is key to understanding our place on this planet. How can we do better? What horticultural and farming practices can we employ that are regenerative rather than simply a means to an end? 

At Otherside Farm we are reclaiming a piece of our own humanity and seeking to live more closely with our natural world and bring forth medicine that is inspired and true. There are so many exciting possibilities with this incredible crop that can give us medicine, food, fiber and shelter.
